We are seeking persons with diabetes between 18-21 years and take 3 or more daily insulin injections (Fast acting insulin at least 2x per day and long acting at least 1x per day) to participate in consumer research study to be conducted in Redwood City on March 20th – 25th and pays $250.

This is a great opportunity to provide feedback and have an impact toward improving a device used to help individuals with diabetes who takes multiple daily insulin injections.

To qualify for the study, you must:

• Have diabetes
• Be 18-21 years of age
• Take 3 or more daily insulin injections with an insulin pen or syringe (Fast acting insulin at least 2x per day and long acting at least 1x per day)

This study consists of 2 sessions and a 4-day wear trial in-between.

The first session will take about 2 hours. We will ask you to follow directions regarding a new diabetes product and simulate preparing and using it. You will be required to prick your skin with a very small sterile needle. You will then leave the session wearing a light-weight prototype for 4 days. This prototype will NOT interfere with your insulin dosing.

For the second session, you will return for 30 minutes to answer some questions and provide feedback about your experience with the device. Finally, you will be paid $250 cash for your participation.
