Our client is paper maker and they need Process Control Engineer. This position reports to the Plant Engineer. The focus of this position is to plan, design, and perform the various activities of the Process Controls Engineering function including the coordination and implementation of maintenance and construction services for capital and major maintenance projects, as assigned. Requirements: - BS Electrical Engineering or a closely related degree and 3+ years process controls experience in a paper mill, paper converting or packaging operation - Knowledge of PLCs and their programming is required. Experience with Rockwell Automation products preferred - Electrical and Instrumentation experience is important to the client - You will need strong project engineering skills to be successful in this position - Experience with Distributive Control Systems would be helpful

Duties: - Provide vital technical support to advanced controls such as DCS, PLC and other computer based controls. - Optimization of existing systems and upgrades will improve reliability and efficiency of operations. - It is projected that 80% of your time with be in the mill and 20% at your desk - Provide engineering services in cooperation with the technical and production departments in the development of projects for present and future installations, including the definition of project goals and objectives. Including: Develop and provide for all aspects of the design of assigned projects, up to and including the preparation of working drawings and specifications (Project costs may range from $10,000 to $10MM). Plan and coordinate all information, services, equipment, and materials to successfully execute the assigned projects. Monitor and direct the activities of outside contractors Assist in check-out and start-up activities. Conduct post completion audits of assigned capital and/or repair projects. Maintain projects status reports. Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of process control equipment. Develop and implement training for operations and electronics techs as needed.
