WHAT I'M OFFERING:

Your own room in my laid-back Highland Park house - a room that would otherwise rent for $ 650 monthly - FREE for an entire year.

Near York Ave, Highland Park's main drag - coffee shops, juice bar, supermarket, restaurants, bars, etc.

Close to Pasadena, Eagle Rock, Mt. Washington, Echo Park, Downtown, Glendale, Burbank, 2 freeway, 110 freeway.

Quiet street, nice house with porch, guava tree, orange tree, lime tree.

WHAT I NEED:

A Personal Assistant with a strong emphasis on DRIVING. In essence, I need to be driven to and from work. I work as a painter in the entertainment industry so the hours can be long and the locations can suddenly change. The beauty of this situation is - you're not even required to have your own car, though you can certainly use your own if that's what you'd prefer. I will pay for all gasoline, of course. The other beautiful part is that you'll be living rent-free for an entire YEAR. A dream come true for anyone new to Los Angeles, 'cause even CHEAP rent can be hard to find.

I must insist that whomever takes me up on this offer is reliable, flexible and readily available. It is my main priority to find someone who can get me to work on-time, every day. This set-up is perfect for someone new to LA with no current obligations or job, someone who works from home and can set their OWN hours, or perhaps a student with open hours in the mornings and evenings - prime driving time, for me.

I would also LOVE it if you could manage some light cleaning duty around the house - mainly straightening up and keeping the kitchen sanitary. It isn't that I can't or won't contribute to the cause, but, as mentioned, my main priority right now is getting to work and working.

ABOUT ME (& MY ROOMMATE):

I'm male, a painter / writer / musician. I like to cook. I'm easygoing, decent sense of humor, etc. When I'm home I'm usually in my room minding my own business.

My roommate is similar in that he likes to keep to himself. He's also a musician. We're private people, yes, but we're not dullards or shut-ins. If you're the right person, we can all have a good time. If you're a good person but not a perfect fit friendship-wise, you'll be delighted to find that we'll probably leave you alone for the most part. Depending on who you are, it can really go either way. I'm not LOOKING for a new friend, I'm looking for a driver, but if you happen to be cool - great.

If there's one thing we'd really like to avoid it's -- dramatic displays of drama. If you plan on using the place as your personal party pad, please look elsewhere.

ABOUT YOU:

Preferred female, though it doesn't REALLY matter. No pets, no smoking, no alcohol, no drugs. The kind of household your mother'd be proud of.

You must be completely, 100% licensed and legal to drive (background check will be performed).

As mentioned, this is a great trade-off for someone new to LA, someone working from home - a WRITER, perhaps? - or even an Ebay trader. If you swing by for a meet&greet and everyone likes what they see, this could be a really fine deal for you. FREE rent! No utilities - unless of course you decide you need cable TV in your bedroom, 'cause I don't have it hooked up.

You must be Extremely flexible, hours-wise. Remember that I'm primarily looking for a DRIVER. Conflicts can & will occasionally arise and I'll roll with them, but my main objective is to avoid that happening at all costs. If you don't feel that you have regular time available to you during morning & evening hours most weekdays and even Saturdays, please do not apply.
